My friend paid like $600 to have that done, and she spent 6 hours at the salon while they "permanently" straightened it. She can not tell a difference, she still has to spend hours straightening her hair with a flat iron. Total waste of money!!

Japanese hair straightening often has good results - but you have to keep it up. If your hair is REALLY curly - you can end up with a line where your straight hair begins and your roots grow in. Several of my friends have had it done, and it looks great and is easy to maintain.

i know that they have them and lots of people get them like straight hair people get perms but i will tell you this all through high school till the end of 12 th grade i always wore my hair straight. and i wanted it straight. i now wear it curyl all the time and i am glad i didnt permantly straighten it since i can have both straight and curly hair now. i have natural spirals but i can get straight hair by simply blow drying it straight with a brush it takes 30 to 40 min but is easly reversable. just think about this and make sure you want to permantly straighten it. i am glad i didnt. good luck and God bless.

You could go with a "perm" straightener. But before you do that, I would highly recommend you try shampooing your hair with Paul Mitchell's SUPER SKINNY Shampoo, for a silky, luminous finish on even the coarsest hair types.

My best friend who has super tight curly hair uses this product when she wants to straighten out her hair with a flat iron. Works wonders!!!

Then if you like your straight hair look, then consider getting the straight hair perm.

criously curly hair isnt bad at all...use a good natural moisturiser on ur hair and c wat wonders it does...is makes ur hair light ,,,silky and also bouncy...with a lot of shine...so don bliv on all dese hair straightening techqz n go 4 a gud NATURAL moisturiser!!!i tell dis on my own experience coz ive had d same probs a yr bac!!!n i went 4 hair straightenin but it never worked....so my sugggestion is dat u go for a natural moisturiser....
