How do I get my naturally straight hair to stay curly?

I've tried EVERYTHING: loads of hairspray, expensive curling irons, curl spray, special shampoo, etc.. For some reason it doesn't stay curly for long (it only stays for about half an hour) Any help?

i have this same situation my hair is straight and thin your could try putting hair gell in you hair then putting your hair (tightly!) in curlers then gently un curl your hair let it settle a bit then spray it with hair spray....another thing you could do to get wavey hair is get a shower at night and let it dry slightly then put hair gell in it then put your hair into two french hair braids then hair spray your hair after they are in braids...leave them in overnight and take em out in the morning it will be a lil bit poofy at first but after a lil it will settle down and look really cute!!

try holding the curls in ur hair for about 30 or 45 seconds wen u curl it or curlerss wen ur hair is wet then take them out
